Andrew Jay Dickerson Toledo, Ohio Obituary

Andrew Jay Dickerson

Andrew "Andy" Jay Dickerson, 60, Toledo, lost his battle to cancer, passing away April 21, 2021, in St. Vincent hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on August 31, 1960 in Marion, Indiana, Andy was the third of six born to James and Connie Dickerson. Andy attended Woodward highschool. After highschool, Andy found enjoyment working on cars and being around his friends and family. In his later years he would tell detailed stories about all the classic cars he's ever owned and worked on. His mechanical skills didn't stop at classic cars though, also showing interest in fixing and collecting riding lawn mowers and classic sewing machines. He truly was a jack of all trades. People will remember Andy by his unique sense of humor, his choice in fashion and also his long braided hair (which he hasn't even had in quite some time). Andy was an animal lover. He had a very close bond with his cat "Baby girl" and also made sure to take care of the outside cats around his home, feeding them and giving them warm shelter in his shed. Andy spent every single day with his significant other and love of his life, Lisa Marie Flowers. His purpose in life was to make sure she was always safe. Andy was a family man and enjoyed having his children and grandchildren over to go fishing and just catch up and talk about life. Andy was proceeded in death by his father, James Dickerson, followed by his mother, Connie Dickerson. Hes survived by his children, Andrew (Jamie) Payne (mother, Theresa), Andrea (Gary) Pratt, Charles Dickerson (mother, Charlene), Randy (Jennifer) Flowers, Jacob Flowers (mother, Lisa), followed by his siblings Sharlie(Kevin) Bledsoe, James Dickerson, Jackie (Curt) Baughman, Linda Dickerson, Gary (Carla) Dickerson, Johnny (Miendy) Soto and twelve grandchildren and many cousins, neices and nephews. Thank you to everyone who was a friend to Andy in his life. You can be sure that he remembered each and every one of you and told stories with you in them. He will be missed terribly and always.
