Carrie Mae Penson Howze, was born in Toledo, Ohio, to James Howze, Jr. and Katie Bell Howze, on May 7, 1953.


She joined Christ at an early age.


She was a graduate of Scott High School, in 1971. She worked various jobs and retired from N.O.D.C.


She had no children of her own, but loved shopping for her family, nieces and nephews. She loved sewing and flowers.


Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, James Howze, Jr. and Katie Bell Howze and a sister, Jimmie Elaine Howze.


She is survived by her 2 brothers, Samuel Russell and Frank Perry; 4 sisters, Betty Jean Howze, Alfreda Howze, Odessa Howze and Bessie Mae Brown; aunt, Mary McDonald of Dallas,TX, and Elizabeth Howze of Chicago, IL.; godsister, Shirley Kay and godson, Thomas, and a host of family and friends.


She will be missed by her niece and nephew and other loved ones.
