Latasha Garrett Obituary

Latasha Nicole Garrett-Seals, affectionately known to all who loved her as "TT Mama", "Nanny", or "Mama Tasha", was the middle daughter born into love by Michael McCarver and Shelia Renae Garrett-McCarver. Latasha was born on October 9, 1975, and became an angel at the age of 43 on September 8, 2019.

Latasha lived between Toledo, OH and Colorado Springs, CO, and attended Mitchell High School in Colorado. She lived for the days that she spent with her family, her grandchildren especially. She loved to dance and "the ballroom" was her favorite. Anytime Tasha could make a person smile, it made her day. If she could make a person some money, it would make both of their day. With a heart of gold, she would give her last, even if she thought you were, in her words, "fake and phony". Latasha became a mother at an early age but loved her children unconditionally.

Latasha is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Seals; grandparents, Josephine and Clifford Garrett, Lora and Willet McCarver; brother, Jermain McNair; niece, Erika C. Elmore; cousin and partner in crime, Charles "Whoogie" Garrett. Tasha and Whoogie were known in the family as "Charlie Brown and Lucy".

Latasha Nicole Garrett-Seals leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, Michael and Shelia McCarver; sisters, Michelle Garrett Mays (Lavon Mays), Shyreese Garrett and Olivia Woods; brother, Jon'Ta Moore; children, Michael Gregory, Sr., Tasheana White, Nathaniel Gregory, Sr. (Morika); bonus daughter, Maryasha Davis; nieces, Damyia Williams, Travona Perry, Mi'Ona Moore, and Ivory Winston; nephews, Rashad Wilson, Ryshee Wilson, Maurice Anderson, Jessie Cooper, Raffeal Winston, Charles Garrett, and Anthony Smith, Jr.; grandchildren, Aniya Gregory, Michael Gregory, Jr., Ta'Tianna Gibson, Miley Gregory, Christian Gregory, De'Michael Gregory, Nathaniel Gregory, Jr., and Mason Gregory; and a host of other loving family members who will cherish her memory forever.
