Services for Agnes Kelly Heinz, 93, of Mentor, will be at 1 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of the service on Thursday.<br><br>Mrs. Heinz passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at The Ohio Veterans Home near Sandusky. <br>Born February 7, 1921 in Geneva, she was a lifelong area resident. <br>She was a United States Navy veteran, serving during World War II. She attended the Willoughby United Methodist Church. She was the last surviving charter member of the American Legion Post 678 Willowick-Eastlake, and she also enjoyed oil painting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.<br>Mrs. Heinz started her vocation as a hairdresser and also worked in the family business, Heinz Egg Service for many years with her husband, Emerson. <br><br>Survivors are her devoted sons, Dale Emerson Heinz of Barberton and David Kelly (Bobbie Hollingsworth) Heinz of Willoughby; grandchildren, Brian (Anna) Heinz, Kelly (Mike) Sherman, Matt Heinz, Leah Hollingsworth and Hannah Hollingsworth; seven great-grandchildren.<br><br>She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Emerson S. Heinz, on July 4, 2012. Her parents, George W. and Florence (Rogers) Kelly and eight brothers and sisters are also deceased.<br><br>Final resting place will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village.<br>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. <br>
