Memorial services for Audrey M. Spence, 87, of Willowick, will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4th, 2016 at Shoregate United Methodist Church, 30500 Bayridge Blvd, Willowick, OH 44095 with Pastor Jill Lea Scott officiating.

Audrey went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2016 at Grand Oaks in Oakwood Village, Ohio.

She was born on March 2, 1929 in North Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry L. Spence and Martha May Mitchell Spence.

Audrey graduated from Vernon High School, Presbyterian Hospital of Nursing and Presbyterian School of Nursing Anesthesia. She worked in hospitals in Connellsville and Pittsburgh before relocating to the Cleveland Clinic Hospital where she worked for 37 years and helped establish the Nursing Anesthesia Program.

Audrey was a longtime member of Shoregate United Methodist Church where she was involved in many activities, especially, the Angel Tree program of the Ranth Salvation Army Unit. Her hobbies were traveling, gardening, knitting, sewing, crafts and photography. Audrey’s favorite trips were made to the Holy Lands, Australia, and following the Apostle Paul’s journey through Greece and the Mediterranean.

Audrey will be deeply missed by all of her surviving friends, especially, Kay Hill Paajanen of Warren, Ohio and Pamela Sherer of Apex, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Henry, James and Wallace.
