Bernice Agnes Scheiman

Memorial services for Bernice Agnes (Nemeth) Scheiman, 89, formerly of Mentor, will be at 7 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills.

Bernice’s loving son, Pastor Walt Scheiman, will be officiating. A reception will take place at the church after the service.

Mrs. Scheiman passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville.

Bernice was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 12, 1927. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1945 and went on to earn a Nursing degree from the former Saint Alexis School of Nursing in 1949.

She enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, camping, talking on the phone, and she adored all her pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish, and even a duck!)

Mrs. Scheiman worked at various hospitals as a Registered Nurse until she became a devoted stay-at-home mother.

Bernice is lovingly remembered by her three children; Kathy, Walt (Linda), and Maryellen (Eric) Ludwig; grandchildren, Kelly Bernard & Tim Campbell and three great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Edward Scheiman; parents, Julius and Agnes Nemeth; brother, Eugene (Audrey) Nemeth; her cousin and best friend, Elsie Kinczel and many adored pets.
