Services for Betty A. (Norton) Meyer, 87, of Willoughby, will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11:30 AM on Saturday, prior to the service.<br><br>Mrs. Meyer passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at her home.<br><br>Born March 23, 1925 in Cleveland, she was a longstanding Willoughby resident. <br><br>She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Willowick and loved visiting the library and read an average of two books per week. <br><br>Mrs. Meyer was employed as a loan officer at the former Citizens Savings & Loan Company in Painesville, and retired from the Eastlake Dollar Bank. <br><br>She is survived by her children, Judy (Howie) Speidel of Cleveland, Amy (John) Speidel of Willoughby and Robert (Amy) Meyer, Jr. of Palmer, PA; grandchildren, Beth (Dave) Smith, Nate (Michelle) Speidel, Ron Speidel, Connie Speidel, Benjamin (Rita) Speidel, Paul Meyer, Caity Meyer, Gretchen Meyer, Abby Meyer, Aidan Meyer; eight great grandchildren and brother, Tom Norton of Florida.<br><br>Her husband, Robert Paul Meyer passed away March 1, 2011. Her parents, John and Ethel Norton are also deceased.<br><br>Private burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110-2602, who lovingly cared for Robert and Betty, during their illnesses. <br>
