Services for Betty Sue (Throneburg) Rains, 77, of Eastlake, will be at 10 AM on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Rains passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013.

Born December 28, 1935 in Hickory, NC she has lived in Eastlake for the past 55 years.

She was a longtime member of Willo-Hill Baptist Church in Willoughby and more recently a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Painesville.

Mrs. Rains was a beautician, having worked for the former Giant Tiger store in Willoughby.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, Herman; children, Janet (David) VanderWier of Osceola, IN; Clint (Debbie) Rains of Painesville and Linda (James) Butler of Rock Spring, GA; grandchildren, Tanya, David, Jill, Lisa, Troy, Travis, James, Rachel, Steven, Rebekah and Christy and eight great grandchildren. She “LOVED HER GRANDKIDS” and kept her “CANDY STORE” supplied for them.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Throneburg; her mother, Myrtice (Dameron) Billey; step-father, Joe Billey; sister, Patricia Workman and brother, Donnie Throneburg.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the funeral home. The Rev. Arlie Spargur of Lakeside Baptist Church will officiate at the service on Friday. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
