Services for Bobbie Ray (Bob) Eversole, 82, of Kirtland, will be at 10 AM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, with Pastor Robert Heggestad of Pilgrim Luteran Brethren Church officiating.

Mr. Eversole passed away February 23rd surrounded by his family at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness.

He was born May 16, 1933, in Harvington, KY.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Lou (Noble) Eversole; sons, Gregory (Suzanne) and Jeffrey (Michelle); grandchildren, Shane, Rachel, Ryan, Luke, Cole and Shelby; brother, Joseph; sister-in-law, Alleen Linger and brother-in-law, Claude Noble, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Dosha, sisters Ishma and Ruth and brothers, Matthew, Jr. and Harold.

He was born and raised in Hazard, KY and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953.
Upon returning home he married his one and only Mary Lou. They settled in Kirtland, where they raised their two sons.

He was a skilled machinist and worked at Chrysler Corp. for 25 years retiring in 1998. He devoted much of his time to his grandchildren which were his pride and joy. Some of his fondest memories were of family vacation trips to Buckhorn Lake Lodge in Kentucky.

Bob also enjoyed serving his community through his membership in Kirtland Kiwanis, VFW and the American Legion. He was a man of faith which was evidenced to all who crossed his path.

Friends and family will be received Friday from 5-8 PM at the Davis-Babcock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Cleveland Salvation Army.
