Memorial services for Cecil R. “Ray” Scarborough, 86, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Monday, January 20, 2014 at The First Baptist Church of Willowick, 31433 Vine Street, Willowick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM on Monday, at the Church.<br>Ray passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his home.<br>Born January 19, 1927 in Natchitoches, LA, he has lived in Lake County for the past 55 years. <br>He served in the United States Army during World War II, as a Military Policeman and a member of the Mule Artillery in Germany. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class on November 28, 1946.<br>Ray was also a member of The First Baptist Church of Willowick for more than 50 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his bicycle. <br>He was a machinist by trade, retiring after 40 years of service at the former TRW Valve Division in Cleveland. <br>Survivors are his son, Harold F. Crumb of Loveland, CO and daughter, Jeannie A. (Daniel J.) Stiebig of Vidor, TX; grandchildren, Ruth Stiebig, Daniel Stiebig, Timothy Stiebig, Miriam Noling, Laura Noel and Douglas Crumb; great grandchildren, Christian, Emily, Austin, Paxton, Miranda, Chase, Logan, Ashley and Kaston; sister, Virginia Noakes and brother, William (Yoshiko) Scarborough. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families. <br>He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian in 1994; his parents, William Cecil and Maggie Lou (Berry) Scarborough and brother, James Scarborough. <br>The Rev. Robert P. Mieden will officiate at the service. Private interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. <br>
