David L. Daggett

Private graveside services have been held for David L. Daggett, 71, of Willoughby.<br><br>David passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Hospice House in Cleveland.<br><br>Born October 11, 1943 in East Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby since 1973.<br><br>After graduating from Eastlake North High School, he served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1966 followed by employment at Hughes Aircraft Corporation for one year in Culver City, CA. He was then employed as a communications technician with AT&T in Cleveland for 24 years, retiring in 1991. <br><br>After retirement, he enjoyed volunteering with others and for others at the Painesville Area Habitat for Humanity, the Lake County Historical Society, and the Lake Hospital System. He was also a past president of the Lake Hospital System Volunteer Auxiliary.<br><br>He was a member and Past Master of Willoughby Lodge 302 Free and Accepted Masons, a 32nd degree life member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland and a member and Past High Priest of Willoughby Chapter 231 Royal Arch Masons. <br><br>Survivors are his brother, Roland P. (Charma) Daggett, Jr. of Cleveland, GA; one niece, four nephews, many cousins and their families. <br><br>He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland P. and Nola H. Daggett and sister, Sally Wood.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Lake Health Foundation, 7580 Auburn Road, Concord Twp., OH 44077.<br><br>May you be healthy, happy and free. <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby. <br>

Born October 11, 1943 in East Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby since 1973.
