David A. Kordic

Services for David A. Kordic, 77, of Willoughby, will be at 10 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Sister Diana Stano, of the Order of Sisters of St. Ursula will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the funeral home.

Mr. Kordic passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his home.

Born January 26, 1938 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby for the past 46 years.

He was a United States Army veteran and enjoyed wood crafting, visiting casinos and gambling and playing pool with his sons.

Mr. Kordic was employed as a wire weaver at the former Lindsey Wire Weaving Company in Cleveland and then as the head custodian at the former McKinley Elementary School in Willoughby for more than 20 years.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Sharon (Newlon); sons, Mark (Eileen) Kordic of Eastlake and Clint (Michiko) Kordic of Willoughby; brothers, Thomas P. Kordic and Richard E. Kordic and sister, Mary Ann Kratovill. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families, and his best buddy, Bandit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Julia (Stano) Kordic.

Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens, following the service on Thursday.
