Services for Dewey E. “Eddie” Lansberry, 90, of Kirtland, will be at 1 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.<br><br>Mr. Lansberry passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his home. <br><br>Born May 13, 1922 in Pierce, WV, he has lived in Lake County for the past 46 years.<br><br>He was a World War II United States Army veteran, and enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, tinkering, building mini bikes and bicycles and was also a former volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. <br><br>Mr. Lansberry was employed as a stationary engineer at the former Towmotor Corporation in Mentor. He retired in 1985. <br><br>Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Anna (Armstrong) Lansberry; children, Joan Lansberry, Alexandria Hurley, Dewey R. Lansberry, Della (Matt Lane) Lansberry and Ralph (Tina) Lansberry; step-children, David (Andrea) Adams, Robert (Georgia) Adams, Fred (Lisabeth) Adams and William (Martha) Adams; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and sisters, Lorene (James) Sturm, Barbara Lansberry and Sharon (Larry) Idleman. He also leaves his daughter-in-laws, Sandy Adams and Judy Adams, and many nieces and nephews and their families. <br><br>He was preceded in death by his daughter, Twana J. Lansberry; step-sons, H. Michael and Jack D. Adams and sister, Rebecca Helmick. <br><br>The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110-2602 or the Alzheimer’s Association of Cleveland, PO Box 74924; Cleveland, OH 44194-4924. <br><br>
