Private family services have been held for Donald Raymond Austin, 74, of Eastlake.

Mr. Austin passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born February 11, 1946 in Ashtabula, he has lived in Eastlake for the past 40 years.

He was a United States Army veteran, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. He attended Erieside Church on the Boulevard and he also enjoyed working as a freelance auctioneer.

Mr. Austin was a data analyst at the former Society Bank, later Key Bank and also St. Vincent Charity Hospital. He worked primarily on the large main-frame computers, and for the last 15 years worked in information technology at the help desk at the hospital.

Survivors are his daughters, Ronda (John) Kusar, Kim Austin, Marcy (Scott) Godleski, Deanna (Ben) Forgard and Courtney Austin; grandchildren, J.T. and Josh Kusar, Matthew Fetters, Kyle, Melanie and Braydon Forgard and brothers, Randy (Susan) Austin and John (Karen) Austin. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families and his lady friend, Bonnie Bisbee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melanie in 2009. His parents, Raymond and June (Burr) Austin and brother, Ron Austin are also deceased.
