Donald R. Jameson

Services for Donald R. Jameson, 93, of Madison Township, will be at 10 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 in the Chapel at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Chaplain Donald Brickman of Grace Hospice will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Masonic graveside services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Jameson was reunited with his beloved wife of 67 years, Audrey (nee: Vobornik), on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Chardon Healthcare Center.

Born July 3, 1924 in Cincinnati, he has lived in Madison Township since 2002, and formerly lived in Willoughby and Euclid.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. A 54 year Mason, he was a Past Master of the former Pentalpha Lodge #636, which merged with Willoughby Lodge #302 in 1993. He was also a Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 22nd Masonic District of Ohio, from 1981-1983, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland and a former member of the Willoughby Rotary Club.

Mr. Jameson was employed as banker, retiring from the former Charter One Bank in August 1987.

He was the loving father of Randall (Diane) Jameson and Scott (Brenda) Jameson; dear grandfather of Chad Allen, Jennifer Mae, and Leo Sherman; great-grandfather of Brooke, Thomas, Connor and Brandon and a cousin, uncle, and friend of many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey, on June 21, 2007. His parents, Robert S. and Pearl (Isaacs) Jameson are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, following the service on Monday.
