Donald W. McCauley

Services for Rev. Donald W. McCauley, Sr., 83, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be at 3 PM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at East Heisley Church of God, 5544 East Heisley Road, Mentor.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Monday, prior to the service, at the Church.

Mr. McCauley passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home.

Born March 12, 1935 in Randolph County, WV, he returned to Lake County 3 ½ years ago from West Virginia.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and pastor of the Union Mission Conference and also the United Methodist Church in West Virginia.

Mr. McCauley was employed as a welder at the former Caterpillar, Inc. in Mentor for 28 years.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Helen (Hedrick); children, Rev. Donald W. (Gail) McCauley, Jr., Mary Belle Mullens, Rose Marie (Carl) Cummins and Rev. John H. (Melinda) McCauley; grandchildren, Michael Mahoney, Joyce Marie Cline, Randall Mullens, Jr., Carl Cummins, III, Jeromey Wayne Cummins, Jonathan Wayne Mullens; Ana Blair and Isaiah Blair; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice (Charles) Ball, Connie (Dean) James, Deborah (Randy) Hoover and brothers, Rev. Carroll (Dorothy) McCauley and Rev. Roger (Diana) McCauley. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Genevieve McCauley, two sisters and his son-in-law, Randall Mullens, Sr. -

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
