Edward Floyd Hendricks Obituary

Edward Floyd Hendricks of Willowick passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 after reaching the age of 88 years old.

He was born on April 26, 1931 in Coshocton County to Raymond C. and Pearl B. (Brooks) Hendricks.

After growing up in Coshocton, he moved to Willowick in 1957. Ed and Fay were married on October 3, 1953 and celebrated 66 years and adopted two wonderful children together.

Ed was a very dedicated and hardworking person. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of Willoughby Lodge 302 Free and Accepted Masons for over 60 years. He became a machinist when he worked for the former Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation for 28 years. Ed moved on and worked for Lincoln Electric Company in Euclid, retiring in 1999 after 20 years of service.

Survivors are his loving wife, Fay (Lang) Hendricks; son, Kyle Hendricks of Woodland Park, CO and daughter, Karen (Steve) Fleming of Aurora; granddaughters, Kailyn, Kelci, and Alexa Fleming and sister, Sandra (David) Thibos of Minneapolis, MN. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. and Pearl B. (Brooks) Hendricks and his brother, Jerry Lee Holskey.

Ed was a very loving man and would do anything to be around his family. He absolutely adored his three grandchildren and they loved spending time with him. Whether it was a cold and rainy sporting event, a birthday, a holiday or a formal dance he was always there to show them his love and support.

Ed and Fay created so many memories over their 66 years together. They particularly enjoyed the adventure of traveling, exploring new places and making lifelong friends.

His final resting place will be in the Mentor Cemetery.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and direction from the Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, we have been advised to have a small family service although we know Ed is having a huge celebration with those who have gone before him.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the American Heart Association, Northeast Ohio Affiliate, Inc., 10900 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106-7107.
