Eric Arvidson

Memorial services for Eric O. Arvidson, 78, of Mentor, will be 2 PM Friday, May 18, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.
Mr. Arvidson passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home. Born September 30, 1933, he was a lifelong Mentor resident. He was a United States Army veteran and member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cleveland Heights and Noble Monitor Lodge 130. Mr. Arvidson retired in 1995 as a senior buyer with the former Warner-Swasey Company in Cleveland after 34 years of service. He is survived by his beloved twin brother, Emil S. Arvidson of Mentor and step-daughter, Gerda (Gunner) Maidhof and their children, Sylvia, Katia and Peter, all of Germany. He also leaves his nieces, Penny Arvidson Richards and Pamela Hooley and their families, and his late sister's children and their families. His wife, Maria I. Arvidson passed away September 9, 2011. His parents, Sture and Hilma (Johnson) Arvidsson, sister, Betty Kuederle and sister-in-law Betty Arvidson are also deceased.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jessica L. Shields of Bethlehem Lutheran Church will officiate at the service. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3740 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44121.
