<p>Services for Frank Kolk, 92, of Mentor, will be at 10 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Michael J. Currier will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township, following the service on Monday. </p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the funeral home.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Kolk passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his home in Mentor.</p><p><br></p><p>Born December 22, 1923 in Germany, he has lived in Lake County for more than 35 years.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a World War II United States Navy veteran. He loved spending time with his family, tinkering and fixing things, coin collecting and reading the newspapers. </p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Kolk was employed as a material handler at the former Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Cleveland. He retired after 37 years of service.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors are his son, Frank (Kathryn) Kolk of Mentor and daughter, Lisa Kolk; grandchildren, Kelley Kolk, Carrie Kolk, Candace Petro, Jacob DeMeza, Jeremy DeMeza and Jamie DeMeza and great grandchildren, Jayden Petro and Arya DeMeza. He also leaves the children of his late wife, Margaret and their families. </p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on July 4, 2009, and his brother, Henry Kolk on December 14, 1991. His parents, Benny and Ella (Bierman) Kolk and uncle, Paul Kolk, are also deceased.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110-2602. </p><p><br></p>
