Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald C. Grabner, 80, of Willoughby, will be at 12 Noon on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 37932 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Fr. Chris Weber will officiate at the Mass.

Mr. Grabner passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, surrounded by his family.

Born October 1, 1934 in Cleveland, he was a lifelong Lake County resident, in Willoughby for the past 50 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He volunteered with the Willoughby Cruise-in each summer and drove VFW members in the annual Marti-Gras parade for more than 30 years.

Mr. Grabner was employed at the former Clevite Corporation for 25 years and also at Automated Packaging Company.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Valerie (Jamison) Grabner; son, Gerald R. Grabner; grandsons, Gerald A. (fiancée, Tammy Brenwalt) Grabner and Michael L. Grabner. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families, and his sister-in-law, Barb Grabner.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary and infant son, James. His parents, Charles and Hilda (Swalook) Grabner and brothers, Charles P. and Robert Grabner are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the Mass on Thursday.
