Services for Harold L. “Pops” Wilson, 86, of Eastlake, will be at 11 AM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Pops passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born April 6, 1929 in Nitro, WV, he has lived in Eastlake for more than 60 years.

Hal was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1500 in Willoughby the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 868 in St. Albans, WV. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and vacationing with family.

Mr. Wilson was employed as a millwright at the former TRW Corporation, valve division, retiring in 1992.

Survivors are his son, Harold S. (Rosemarie) Wilson of Eastlake; grandchildren, Brian (Krista) Wilson, Jessica (Phil) Birman, Matt Wilson, Eddy (Amber) Allen and Erica (Seth) Russo; great-grandchildren, Austin, Emma, Landon, Madison and Zoey; sister, Eileen (Tom) McKinnon and brothers, Norman (Ella) and Larry (Judy) Wilson, all of West Virginia. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha (Schunck) in 2009. His parents, Howard, Hazel and Elizabeth Wilson and sister, Lois Hedrick are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the funeral home. The Rev. Michael J. Currier of the Body of Christ Community Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights following the service on Friday.
