Memorial services for Inge K. Jennings, 97, of Mentor, will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7643 Lakeshore Boulevard, Mentor. The Rev. Kevin L. Guynn will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Jennings passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Lake West Medical Center.

Born February 22, 1921 in Schmolsin, Germany, she has lived in Mentor for the past 66 years.

She was a Charter Member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mentor, an avid gardener and a lifetime member of Mentor Garden Club. She also was an active member of the German Club and for many years had a harmonica group which played at many venues including the Ohio State Fair.

Mrs. Jennings was formerly employed as a chef for the former Hough Catering for more than 20 years, with customers as notable as Art Modell.

Survivors are her sons, Martin (Joan Abraham) Jennings and Kurt (Susan) Jennings and grandson, Alan Wolber.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Thomas “Tom” Jennings in 2017 and her daughter, Barbara Inge Jennings in 2009. Her parents, Karl and Martha (Mathiszat) and four brothers, including her twin, are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Saturday.
