With heartfelt love for Ivanka “Ivy” Lory, who departed this material world for the higher spiritual realm on April 13, 2014. Her husband of 40 years, Warren Lory and their son, Derek, will forever remember her warmth and vivaciousness.

A first generation American, Ivy excelled in school, (e.g. she was president of the History Honor Society at the University of Massachusetts, Fitchburg Campus). Some years ago, Ivy was a freelance writer for a Canadian fashion magazine. She also occasionally modeled for Elle Magazine as well as Shiseido and Christian Dior cosmetics.

In spite of being a teenager/young woman during the heyday of the feminist movement, Ivy turned down opportunities to travel overseas to exotic locations for fashion photo shoots in favor of caring for her family. Ivanka will be very much missed.

In accordance with her express wishes, memorial activities are reserved for family, who respectfully request a few weeks of private time.

Suggested recipients of benefactions (not at all necessary) in remembrance of Ivy would be to animal rescue shelters of each donor’s personal choice.
