Services for Karen M. (Holmes) Komraus, 66, of Eastlake, will be at 10 AM on Thurs., Sept. 12, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Karen passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born December 4, 1946 in Cleveland, she has lived in Eastlake for more than 40 years.

She cherished her grandsons and enjoyed countless hours with them. She loved her 1992 Mustang, her dogs, visiting casinos and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and shopping. She especially enjoyed pleasing her husband and preparing his meals just the way he liked them.

Karen was employed as bus driver for Euclid Public Schools for 24 years, and previously worked as a beautician, having graduated from the Euclidian Beauty College.

She was the beloved wife of 46 years of Carlton W. Komraus, Jr.; loving mother of Carlton Andrew and Robert William Komraus; dear grandmother of James, Brandon and Jacob; dear sister of Sandra Naro.

Her parents, Andrew and Mildred (Decker) Holmes and sisters, Rhonda Modic and Brenda Teeter are deceased.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Weds., Sept. 11, 2013 at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village.
