Private family services have been held for Kenneth C. Parkin, 73, formerly of Wickliffe.<br><br>Mr. Parkin passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015.<br><br>Born February 15, 1941 in Wickliffe, he was a lifelong Lake County resident. <br><br>He enjoyed building model cars, watching Western movies and serving as a Deacon at Suburban Christian Church in Richmond Heights. <br><br>Mr. Parkin was employed as a custodian at Libra Industries in Mentor for 11 years.<br><br>Survivors are his daughters, Brenda Leslein and Connie Parkin, both of Mentor-on-the-Lake, and Pearl (Kip) Aldrich of Mentor; grandchildren, Zach, Rebecca, Hunter and Kayne and brothers, Alvin and Richard Parkin, both of Hambden Township.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy J. (Medley) Parkin on October 11, 2012. His parents, Thomas and Mabel (Granger) Parkin and eight siblings are also deceased.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Unit E, Mentor, OH 44060 or UNICEF, 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038.<br>
