Memorial services for Kenneth D. Rittenhouse, 78, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at The Lyons Chapel of the Nason Center at Breckenridge Village, 36859 Ridge Road, Willoughby. <br><br>The Rev. Donald J. Grauer, Chaplain of Breckenridge Village, and Mrs. Donna Nedrow will officiate at the service.<br><br>Mr. Rittenhouse passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.<br><br>Born August 3, 1936 in Willoughby, he was a lifelong Willoughby resident.<br><br>He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Christ Community Church in Willoughby. He also enjoyed flowers and gardening.<br><br>Mr. Rittenhouse was employed as a roofer with the former Middleton Roofing Company in Mentor. <br><br>Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Pauline M. (Carpenter) Rittenhouse; daughter, Barbara (Osman) Kepce; son-in-law, Greg McCartney and sister-in-law, Diane Rittenhouse, all of Willoughby and sister, Sandy Rittenhouse Abrahamson of Cleveland.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Rittenhouse-McCartney in 2007. His parents, Charles and Grace (Landman) Rittenhouse and brothers, Robert and Paul Rittenhouse are also deceased. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Senior Independence Hospice, 38879 Mentor Avenue, Willoughby, OH 44094. <br>
