Marjorie E. Schultz, age 94, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Fairmont Health Care Center at Breckenridge Village, Willoughby.

Marge was born to George and Elizabeth Salzman January 12, 1919 and grew up in Cleveland Heights where she graduated from Hathaway Brown School in 1937.

Marge attended Cornell University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She served as President of the Cleveland Panhellenic Association and later graduated from Kent State University summa cum laude with a B.S. in education.

She and first husband William Ehlert resided in Warrensville Heights where Marge taught 4th grade and was a girl scout leader. She taught Sunday school at Grace Lutheran Church. Then a widow, Marge married widower Howard Schultz and moved to Willoughby in 1967, where she was a member of Willoughby United Methodist Church and active in the Bell Choir, a bloodmobile volunteer, and snack bar volunteer at Lake West Hospital.

Marge enjoyed golf, bowling, bridge, needlework, crossword puzzles, reading, the Cleveland Indians. She was a long time member of Mentor Harbor Yacht Club and won many trophies sailing with the Wet Hens.

In later years Marge enjoyed making new friends at Breckenridge Village. She and the family appreciated the care she received as her needs progressed.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (Christine) Ehlert and her daughter, Beth (John) Russell, both of Florida; step-sons William (Ann) Schultz and Robert (Sarellen) Schultz, both of Willoughby; grandchildren, David (Melissa) Schultz, Jennifer (Edward) Mikolic, Karen (Matthew) Sipols, Jim (Jennifer) Schultz, Amy (Mark) McNamara and Brian Russell, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

Marge was preceded in death by husbands, William Ehlert and Howard Schultz; grandson, J.R. Russell, three brothers and a sister.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 29, at The Lyons Chapel at the Nason Center of Breckenridge Village, 36859 Ridge Road, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald J. Grauer, Chaplain of Breckenridge Village will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
