Marjorie M. Tegner

Funeral service for Marjorie M. (O’Brien) Tegner, 90, of Chesterland, will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094. The Reverend Len Malotte of Mantua Center Christian Church will officiate services.
Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Monday, July16, 2018 at the funeral home.
Marjorie passed away peacefully Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hospice House, with her loving family by her side. She was born February 6, 1928 in Willoughby, Ohio.
Marjorie was a homemaker.
She was a 1945 graduate of Willoughby Union High School, where she was in the marching band. She was a member of Willoughby Rainbow in her youth and became mother advisor after many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 70 years. She really enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband for many years.
Marjorie was a strong supporter of The American Cancer Society Relay For Life-Western Lake County. As a 36 year cancer survivor, she proudly participated in the survivor lap.
Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (Richard) Fox and Susan Tegner; grandson, Charlie Fox. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne B. Tegner in 1997; parents, Jay and Zella O’Brien and siblings, Larry and Jack O’Brien and Doris Tegner.
Final resting place will be in Willoughby Cemetery, following the service on Tuesday.
