Mary Logies of Mentor, 68, passed away May 2, 2020. She was born May 24, 1951 in Chambersburg PA. She grew up in Morton, Pennsylvania and Willoughby, Ohio.

Mary’s love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She endured many storms, but remained faithful to Him.

Mary’s calling was teaching and she loved making history come alive to her students. She retired several years ago from Willo-Hill Christian School. Earlier in her career she had served as a public librarian, relishing opportunities to make historical presentations.

She married the love of her life, Matt Logies on June 18, 1988, enjoying 22 years of marriage before Matt passed away in 2010. They loved their godson, Joshua, as though he was their own. Mary and Matt also had special relationships with their nieces and nephew.

Mary is survived by sister Susan (Mark) Bruce, godson Joshua, nieces Sarah, Rachel, Laura, Lisa, Kari, Melissa, Sharon and Hope, nephew Michael and brothers-in-law Mark (Nancy), Martin, and Tom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Esther Berg, brother Tom Berg, and husband Matthew Logies. What a glorious reunion Mary is having with these loved ones in her heavenly home! She is more alive than ever!

Mary’s body will be laid to rest in Knollwood Cemetery in a private graveside service, but a celebration of her life will be planned when larger gatherings are permitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary’s church, Christ Community Church of Willoughby, 36407 Ridge Road, Willoughby, OH 44094.
