Services for Patricia (Kane) Cornwall, 91, of Willoughby, will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Cornwall passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 in the presence of her loving family.

Born Patricia Hileman, September 28, 1922 in Sheridan, WY, she formerly lived in Bozeman, MT before moving to Cleveland, and has lived in Willoughby since 1969. She graduated from Fergus County High School in Lewistown, MT in 1940; she then attended Montana State College in Bozeman, MT and years later, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea.

In her retirement, she volunteered at the Mooreland Mansion in Kirtland and also enjoyed her grandchildren, animals, shopping and eating out. Pat will be remembered for her wonderful personality and great sense of humor.

Mrs. Cornwall was a second grade teacher at the former Lincoln School in Wickliffe for 23 years. Prior to her teaching career, she was a supervisor for the government in Cleveland.

She is survived by her dearest son, Michael “Mickey” (Kathe) Kane of Washington, DC area; grandchildren, Meagan, Colin, Patrick and Chelsea and sister, Marla Mary (Jim) Van Gorder of Willoughby Hills; nephews, Christopher Uram, Kenneth (Barbie) Uram and other nieces and nephews, and members of the Cornwall and Campbell families. She also leaves her best friend, Carol Janc.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred W. Cornwall in 2011; infant son, William Daniel “Tuffy” Kane and nephew, Russell “Rusty” Uram.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
