Patricia A. Corradi (nee: Bertie), age 88, passed away on April 2, 2018 in New Orleans, LA, where she had moved in November 2016 to be closer to her son’s family.

She is survived by her son, LTC (Ret.) Dante A. Corradi, Sr. and daughter-in-law, CPT (Ret.) Robin M. Corradi, of Belle Chasse, LA; grandchildren, Jacob A. Walker, Dante A. Corradi, Jr. and Patricia A. Corradi; and several nieces and nephews in Pittsburgh, PA,
New England and Florida.

Preceding her in death were her husband, LTC Anthony J. Corradi; parents, James L. and May Bertie; siblings, Eva Stacy Hardie, James L. Bertie, Jr., David Bruce Bertie, Joan Whitacre and Diane Stevens.

Patricia was born in Bellevue, PA on February 2, 1930. After graduating high school in 1948 she was employed by the H. J. Heinz Company and two years later she became Secretary to the Vice President – Distribution and worked there for fifteen years.

She left Pittsburgh in 1963 to be married in Cleveland where she was a homemaker in Maple Heights for almost twenty-two years. In 1987 she took a part time typist position with the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities, Maple Heights Adult Training Center, where she soon graduated to full time and worked as an ATC Secretary for fifteen years, retiring in 2002. It was during these years that she moved to Willoughby where she had been a resident from 1995 to 2016.

Although of English/Scottish descent, Pat loved Slovenian music and was active in the polka community, playing the button accordion with the Magic Buttons Band for nine years. She was a life member of the Cleveland Slovenian Style Polka Hall of Fame.

She was a former member of St. Noel Roman Catholic Church in Willoughby Hills.

Per her wishes Mrs. Corradi will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Belle Chasse, LA at a later date. Private family interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
