Paul Allen Obituary

Paul A. Allen, age 91, of Kirtland, passed away in his home, Saturday, June 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He was born Dec. 1, 1920 in Kirtland where he was a life long resident. Mr. Allen was a farmer, builder and master wood crafter. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Willoughby Lodge #302 F. & A.M. He was also a member of Shriners International. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved life and was a loyal friend to many.
Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Wirstrom Allen, Children, Molly Wakeham, Sally (Paul) Pietrolungo, Jane (Mike) Ziegler, Barb (Jack) Morris, Max (Mary Jo) Allen. Grandchildren, Christopher Wakeham, Abby (Pat) McNerney, Aaron (Keri) Ziegler, Hayley (Mark) Clark, Patrick Ziegler, Andrew (Hattie Mae) Allen; nine greatgrandchildren and sisters, Rosemary Dyke of Signe Pritchard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max H. and Martha Allen, sister, Martha Lou Guy and his son, Carl Allen.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home at 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 PM by the Brethren of Willoughby Lodge 302.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110 or Friends of the Kirtland Public Library, 9267 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland, OH 44094.
