Paul Randolph Freeman Obituary

Services for Paul Randolph “Randy” Freeman, 58, of Mentor, will be at 4 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Kurt E. Landerholm of Mentor United Methodist Church will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Randy passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 1, 2015.

Born April 4, 1957 in Columbus, he has lived in Mentor for the past 51 years.

He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 280 in Mentor, and a graduate of Mentor High School, class of 1975 where he sang with the Top 25 show choir. He also enjoyed swimming, and was a member of the swim team at the former Mentor Recreation Park and Mentor High School. He attended Garfield College and graduated from Lake Erie College in Painesville in 1979.

Survivors are his son, Jason, of Cuyahoga Falls; mother, Edith “Edie” Freeman of Mentor; sister, Nancy (Tim) Merritt of Littleton, CO and great-nephew, Elijah.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Angel; his father, Jack T. Freeman in 2004; his nephews, Nathan, Justin and Matthew and niece, Meredith.

Private family graveside services and interment will be held on Monday at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
