Private family services have been held for Phoebe J. (Raney) Swaney, 81, of Willoughby.<br><br>Mrs. Swaney passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home.<br><br>Born August 16, 1935 in Euclid, she has lived in Willoughby for the past 57 years.<br><br>She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Euclid.<br><br>Mrs. Swaney was a membership secretary at the Lake County West-End YMCA in Willoughby.<br><br>Survivors are her husband of 64 years, William; children, Nancy (Steven) Cohen, Patty Swaney and Richard Swaney; grandchildren, Sarah (Richard) Montgomery, Jeremy (Brittany) Cohen and Nick Swaney and great-grandchildren, Emma and Sloane.<br><br>She was preceded in death by her son, Billy in 1961; her parents, Robert and Mabel (Drotleff) Raney and sister, Barbara Halter are also deceased. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Northern Ohio Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5700 Brecksville Road 3rd Floor, Independence, OH 44131.<br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby.<br>Obituary
