Ralph N. Bonnema Obituary

Ralph N. “Nick” Bonnema, Jr.,75, of Olmsted Falls, died October 21, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Painesville, Ohio on October 4, 1942.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl (Wolfert), sons, Troy and Kevin and daughter, Lori Blume, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; two brothers and a sister.

Nick worked for Mac Tools Corp. both as a salesman and a District Sales Manager until he retired. He served with his wife for five years as House Parents for Hannah's Home in Mentor for girls in crisis pregnancies. Then for 10 years he worked for Rush Trucking. He also owned and operated Lorain County Speedway.

Nick enjoyed being around people and had a passion for giving of himself unselfishly to those who needed help in any way. Many looked to him as a father figure, mentor or friend. You would always find him talking about his family or about his relationship with his Lord. He was a member of Grace Church of Middleburg Heights.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be combined at Grace Church of Middleburg Hts. Ohio on Saturday October 28, 2017. Visiting hours will be from 5 until 6:30 followed by the Funeral service.
