Raymond J. Cvelbar, 83, of Willoughby, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home. <br><br>Born December 8, 1936 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby for the past 40 years. <br><br>He was a certified automotive mechanic, commercial scuba diver and held degrees in electronics and robotics. He drag-raced cars and enjoyed art and sculptor. <br><br>Survivors are his children, Mary (Don) Traina, Bette (Jim) Mayfield and Ray Cvelbar; grandchildren, Starla Fuerst, Melissa Nageotte, Andrew Dickson, Tyler Dickson, Kristen Trommetter and Sarah Simmons; great-grandchildren, Braden, Jacob, Wyatt and Hannah Simmons, Dylan Fuerst, Jacob Hoyt, Trinitey Nageotte; brothers, Dennis and Edward Cvelbar and sisters, Mary Zimmer, Margaret Suhar, Helen Brnjic and Carol Kenny. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families. <br><br>He was preceded in death by his former wife, Lawanna Meadows on April 30, 2002. His parents, Frank and Helen (Ruseckas) Cvelbar and brothers, Frank, Jr., Robert, Richard, Thomas and James Cvelbar are also deceased. <br><br>The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby where services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2020. <br><br>Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing guidelines and protocols will be enforced, and the number of visitors permitted will be regulated. <br><br>Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be greatly appreciated. <br><br>
