Services for Richard B. Ford, 82, of Mentor, will be at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Jay Carroll of Burton Congregational Church will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 4-7:30 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service.

Mr. Ford passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Burton Health Care Center.

Born May 31, 1933 in Fairport Harbor, he was a lifelong Lake County resident, having lived in Kirtland before moving to Mentor 31 years ago.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his family in their motorhome and snowmobiling.

Mr. Ford was employed with Hamann Construction in Willoughby for 25 years and also worked on the construction of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant for about 10 years.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Laverna (Nicholson) Ford; children, Richard Ford, Lisa (Dave) Bonner, Ted (Lori) Ford and Rick (Dannielle) Ford; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded by his parents, Stanley and Florence (McCamey) Ford; sisters, Phyllis Densmore, Helen Popp and brother, Sam Ford.

Private family interment will be held.
