Memorial services for Robert E. Bell, 79, of Kirtland, will be at 7 PM on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.<br><br>Mr. Bell passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014.<br><br>Born January 18, 1935 in Vernon County, WI, he has lived in Kirtland for the past 48 years.<br><br>He was a United States Air Force veteran, a member of The American Legion Barber-Williams Post 609 in Kirtland where he served as First Vice Commander and also American Legion Brakeman-King Post 336 in Painesville. He was an avid fisherman, and a member of the Cool Running Bass Club. <br><br>Mr. Bell was employed as a test engineer for the former Euclid Road Machinery Company. <br><br>Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Louise (Austad) Bell; sons, Wesley (Sue) Bell of Kirtland, Steve (Sherry Georgia) Bell of Mentor, Keith (Carmen) Bell of Perry and Mark (Marci) Bell of Centennial, CO; grandchildren, Stefany, Justin, Greg, Chris, Breezy and Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Nataja and sisters, Shelby Wildes of Cambridge, WI and Beverly Schulz of Chaseburg, WI. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his infant twin sons, David and Daniel; parents, Vohn and Edna (Wolf) Bell and brother-in-law, John Wildes.<br><br>The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Pastor David Botha will officiate at the service. Private family burial will be in South Kirtland Cemetery.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.<br>
