Services for Robert W. Huebner, 78, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Dr. Jim Jasper, Cleveland Clinic Hospice Chaplain, will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the funeral home.

Mr. Huebner passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at his home.

Born November 16, 1936 in Cleveland, he was a longtime Willoughby resident before moving to Mentor 18 years ago.

He was United States Air Force veteran and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 116.

Mr. Huebner was employed as a police officer for the City of Willoughby. He retired in 1982 after 18 years of service.

Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Patricia (Haggerty) Huebner; children, Victoria Huebner, Robert A. Huebner, Christine Snyder, Leslie (Fred) Bittner, Karole Huebner and Kathie (Tom) Carney; grandchildren, Emma, Eric, Blayre, Freddy, Ashleigh, Dustin, Brittany, Jason and Michael.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther, in 1971. His parents, William and Alice (Barkhauer) Huebner and sister, Betty Walsh are also deceased.
