Military honors for Robert James Powell, 70, of Eastlake, will be 12:30 PM Monday, May 21, 2012 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman. Please meet at the cemetery welcome center no later than 12:15 PM. Mr. Powell passed away Monday, May 14, 2012. Born December 2, 1941 in Scranton, PA, he has lived in Eastlake for the past 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Germany, from 1961 until 1964. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating. Mr. Powell was a draftsman by trade. Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Rosemary (Templin) Powell; sons, Bradley Powell of Lakewood and Bryan (Sylvia) Powell of St. Louis, MO; grandsons, Katin Micah and Kylan James Powell; sister, Beverly (Joseph) Kogoy of Naples, FL and brothers, Donald (Marge) Powell of Ashtabula County and James (Linda) Powell of Euclid. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families. His parents, James and Eleanor (Beckerle) Powell are deceased. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
