Services for Rose K. (Kruger) Beall, 89, of Kirtland Hills, will be at 11 AM on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor. The Rev. Beverly L. Wrobel will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Beall passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, where she received excellent care from her doctors and nurses alike.

Born April 8, 1926 in Germany, she lived in Mentor for 21 years before moving to Kirtland Hills in 1969, with her husband, whom she met during World War II. An avid gardener, she loved her home and working on her property.

She was an active member of Mentor United Methodist Church, starting in 1948 and enjoyed her friendships there.

Mrs. Beall was a teacher in the Perry Schools and then taught German and English at Lakeland Community College for many years.

Survivors are her children, David Beall of Kirtland Hills, Carol (Paul) Ryczek of Roswell, GA and Charles Beall of Mentor; grandchildren, Zach (Alyson) Ryczek, Matt (Kristi) Ryczek, Liz Ryczek and Christina Beall; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, Bryan, Haley, Nayland and Nallie; brother, Heiner (Hanne) Kruger of Lakewood, CO and Margaret (Lynn) Clark of Redmond, WA. She also leaves nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David Clark Beall, on October 22, 1991 and her daughter, Margaret Rose Beall on March 3, 2007. Her parents, Heinrich and Hedwig (Fischer) Kruger and daughter-in-law, Wan Sun Beall are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund or Missions Funds at Mentor United Methodist Church.
