Services for Ruth Jane Hefler, 89, formerly of Willoughby Hills, will be at 6 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Friends may call from 4-6 PM on Thursday, prior to the service. A committal service and interment will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 in the chapel at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Mrs. Hefler passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Grande Pointe Healthcare Community in Richmond Heights, where she has lived for the past eight years. Born August 21, 1922 in Washtenaw County, MI, she had lived in Willoughby Hills for more than 40 years. She was an avid sports fan, and followed the Cleveland teams and NASCAR. Mrs. Hefler was employed as a seamstress at the former Dalton Industries in Willoughby. She is survived by her good friends and neighbors, the Siath Family and her friends and 'family' at Grande Pointe Healthcare Community. Her husband, John J. Hefler passed away September 2, 2001. Her parents, Donald and Annabell (Thornbury) Stockdale and brother are also deceased.
