Memorial services for Ruth E. Maxted, 103, of Willoughby, will be at<br>12:30 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at The Lyons Chapel at the Nason Center of Breckenridge Village, 36859 Ridge Road, Willoughby. The Rev. Donald J. Grauer, Chaplain of Breckenridge Village, will officiate at the service. <br><br>Miss Maxted passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Fairmount Health Center at Breckenridge Village. <br><br>Born September 29, 1909 in Cleveland, she has lived at Breckenridge Village for the past 15 years. <br><br>She was an active volunteer at the Cleveland Sight Center, where she translated many French and Spanish textbooks to Braille text for the members of the sight center. She was a 1932 graduate of Flora Stone Mather College at the former Western Reserve University, now known as Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and also enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader.<br><br>Miss Maxted was employed as an executive secretary at the former Cleveland Cliffs Company for 33 years. <br><br>She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. <br><br>Her parents, Harry and Anna (Wagner) Maxted and sisters, Marie Teller and Frances Maxted preceded her in death.<br><br>Private family interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Breckenridge Village Life Care Fund, 36855 Ridge Road, Willoughby, OH 44094.<br><br>Arrangements are in the care of Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby.<br><br>
