Memorial services for Sandra A. (Parker) Sonnie, 79, of Mentor, will be at 8 PM on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sonnie passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born December 25, 1938 in Cleveland, she has lived in Eastlake for 21 years before moving to Mentor where she has lived for the past 37 years. She and late husband also enjoyed many winters in Naples, Florida.

She was a former member of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church, and Legend Lake Golf Club in Munson Township. She enjoyed doing ceramics and pottery.

Mrs. Sonnie was employed as a seamstress at the former Willoughby Fashion Shop.

Survivors are her sons, John (Carla) Sonnie, Jr. and Robert (Renee) Sonnie; grandchildren, Brian, Matthew (Amber), Brittany, Richard and Sara (Luke) Haas; sisters, Addie Kinsinger and Janet Merz.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John R. Sonnie, Sr. on May 3, 2003. Her parents, Bertram H. and Gladys I. (Foster) Parker and siblings, Miles Parker, Lenore Coyne and Lois Parker.

Private family interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
