Funeral ceremony for Stanley G. Widdowson, 82, of Willoughby, will be 4 PM Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Family will receive friends 12-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Stanley passed away February 4, 2019 in Cleveland. Born November 24, 1936 in Connellsville, PA, he lived in Willoughby for the past 25 years.
Stan owned and operated Stan’s Auto Service in Eastlake for 49 years. Stan truly enjoyed his customers and considered them his family.
He was an U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and U.S. Army Veteran, serving in each for 4 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors, especially gardening. He loved his family and his dog, Daffney.
Survivors include his wife, Donna M. (Yopko) Widdowson of 36 years; children, Deanna (John) Esplandiu and Alan Widdowson; step-children, Fred (Pam) LaPorte and Susan Coso; grandchildren, Alan and Ashley Widdowson, Stephen Widdowson, Connor and Paxton LaPorte, and Sam, Leah, and Haley Coso; siblings, Chuck Widdowson, Art Widdowson, Paul (Debbie) Widdowson, David (Jan) Widdowson, and sisters, Leslie and Linda. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley D. Widdowson in 2017; grandson, Eddy Terauds; siblings, Shirley, Harry, Kelly, and Allen. His parents, Raymond and Emma (Channing) Widdowson are also deceased.
Private interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
