Services for Wayne Stanley Sanders, 86, of Eastlake, will be 11 AM Monday, March 19, 2012 at Willoughby Baptist Church, 37928 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby. Mr. Sanders passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born November 7, 1925 in Pelham, TN, he has lived in Eastlake for the past 34 years. He was a World War II United States Navy veteran and was a member of the former Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Euclid and attended Willoughby Baptist Church. He enjoyed carpentry and bowling. Mr. Sanders was employed with the former Cleveland Graphite Bronze Corporation for 38 years, where he served as union chairman and steward. Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Margaret Anna Dell (Nunley) Sanders; children, Dewain Sanders of Eastlake, Donna (Finley) Gambrel of Thompson Township, Regina (Michael) Christy of Macedonia and Gregory (Cathy) Sanders of Willoughby; grandchildren, Larry (Stephanie) Wheeler, Karen (Thomas) Grzep, Jessica (Robert) States, Finley James (Misty) Gambrel, Alison (William) Grant and Daniel Gambrel; 14 great grandchildren and sister, Josephine Coppinger of Tracy City, TN. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families. His parents, Jay Herbert and Veda Mae (Burrows) Sanders and brothers, Clayton Paul, H.D., Ray Herbert are deceased. The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Sunday at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Drew Dukes of Willoughby Baptist Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
