<p>A memorial service for William A. Behnke, 96, of Willoughby, will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 23, for family members, at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 Public Square, Willoughby. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the service will be live streamed for others wishing to join the family in remembering Bill. (Live Stream Access: dtwchurch.org)</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Behnke died November 24, 2020, at Fairmount Center in Willoughby. He was born January 7, 1924 in Cleveland.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a member of Willoughby United Methodist Church since 1946.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors are his wife, Jean Daniel Behnke; children, William Lee (Cheryl) Behnke of Concord Township, Deborah (Frank) Tolar of Willoughby, Mitchel Behnke of Munson and Mark (Patrice) Behnke of Willoughby; grandchildren, Lauren (Samuel) Kalb, Lesley (Joel) Herald, Daniel (Laura) Tolar, Brenton (Tori) Behnke, Sean and Christopher Behnke, Katherine and Matthew Behnke; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Austin Kalb, Ellie and Brooke Herald, Sadie and Oliver Tolar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>His first wife, Ginger (nee: Woolever) Behnke; parents, Walter and Constance (nee: Ireson) Behnke; brother, Theodore Behnke; and sister, Lolita Clayman, are deceased.</p><p><br></p><p>The Rev. Jerry Kalb will officiate at the service.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Heritage Club of Lake County YMCA, 933 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077; or William A. Behnke Scholarship, c/o Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture, The Ohio State University, 275 W. Woodruff Ave., Columbus, OH 43210; or Willoughby United Methodist Church Columbarium Fund.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
