Memorial services for Rev. Winifred Wilkinson Hausmann, 90, of Euclid, will be at 4:30 PM Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Unity Church of Christianity, 7887 Chalet Drive, Chesterland. Rev. Hausmann passed into eternal rest Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at The Fairways Assisted Living Center in Wickliffe. Born August 31, 1922 in Atlanta, GA, she was the eldest daughter of the late Boyce and Ruby Wilkinson. As an ordained minister, Winifred followed her calling to Cleveland, where she later met and married George Rowe Hausmann. They later founded and served as co-ministers of the Unity Church of Christianity in Chesterland where they both spread the teachings of the Christian faith. Winifred held a great many interests, besides teaching spirituality to her congregation; she authored several books, including "Miracle Power For Today", "Focus on Living", "A Guide To Love Powered Living", "Dealing With Stress Through Spiritual Methods", "How To Live Life Victoriously" and "Your God Given Potential." She also enjoyed traveling the world, reading, painting and spending time with family. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Mitchell of Decatur, GA; step-children, Georgieann (Wilbert) Steigerwald, Richard (Patricia) Hausmann and Gary (Su) Hausmann; six grandsons; eight great grandchildren; two nieces and their families. Her husband, Rev. George Rowe Hausmann passed away December 31, 1985. In lieu of flowers, a spiritual donation may be made to the Unity Church of Christianity, 7887 Chalet Drive, Chesterland, OH 44026. The family is grateful and would like to express heartfelt thanks for the outstanding care given to Winifred by the Brookdale Senior Living at The Fairways in Wickliffe and their innovative senior care hospice team.
