Ronnie was born in Oklahoma City to Herbert E and Thelma Joyce Sikes on June 6, 1856, and passed away on Oct. 11, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Ronnie was a graduate of Moore High School and was a talented musician and artist. During his career, he worked as a carpenter with his grandfather, Bruce Miller, then as a truck driver, machines operator, welder and chemical engineer of oil field and cleaning products. Ronnie was baptized while a teen at United Methodist Church. He was a kindhearted man and always willing to help whenever he was needed.
Ronnie is survived by his mother, Thelma Joyce, and stepfather, Joe Kutej; sisters Rebecca Phillips and Jim, and Brenda Knight and Rob; and two stepsisters, Rhonda Ware and Peggy Coy. He’ll be greatly missed by a large family of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Herbert E Sikes; grandparents; and two stepbrothers, Rickey and Randy Kutej.
We greatly appreciate and thank Ronnie’s caregivers at Hospice of Oklahoma County and his friends that helped him while he was ill.
