Virginia Jarvis

A Celebration of Life service for Virginia L. Jarvis age 82 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Monday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Virginia was born July 10, 1934 in Earlsboro, OK to Clarence and Allie Martin Ferrell and passed away on June 14, 2017 in the Blackwell Hospital. She was raised in the Shawnee community by her mother Allie and her daddy Neal Montgomery. Virginia graduated from Shawnee High School in 1951. She married Grady L. Jarvis on September 10, 1951 in Shawnee. In 1979 she moved to Enid, where she worked as a CMA for the Methodist Home for 10 years. She started her own home Day Care and retired in 1997. Virginia is survived by her children; Rick Jarvis and wife Loretta, Ronnie Jarvis both of Blackwell, Alton Jarvis and wife Terrie of Tonkawa, Linda Jarvis of Enid, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, two sisters Zella Jarvis and Laquata Montgomery both of Shawnee and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Joe Montgomery and Sister Nealene York. Virginia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
